Lifelong interest in working with metal, BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design, 1971. Former shoeshine boy, motorcycle hoodlum, silversmith, sign painter, fishing guide, machinist's helper, technical writer, bartender, restaurateur and other various occupations and avocations. Now a recently-retired police detective lieutenant and full-time professional blacksmith. Still don't know what I want to be if I grow up. (grin)
