On an steam tractor site, a guy from Wazlila, Alaska. Just posted that the latest target for the copper thieves is welding lead cable. He lost 400 feet from his trailer mounted unit parked in his yard. At around $8.00/foot up there that can get expensive. Time to build a lead box! Posted Image

Some people, I tell you... You have to put padlocks on your boots or they'll steal your laces. I hate to hear that about his situation. I don't know about everybody, but $3200 isn't an amount I could come up with on short notice. I'm hopeful that when the thief tries to sell it, somebody has been making calls to notify the scrap centers!
You know the way of the world is in peril when only children can easily open child-proof medicine bottles.
