Hey all. I know I haven't posted much in awhile, just been radical busy. The whole move, driving, finding a place here, moving my stuff AGAIN, setting up shop and house, etc., has had me overwhelmed. Plus tons of commissions. Whew! Anyways, decided to take the rare day off today, and this was the result.

The "Deerhead-Spearhead-Gearhead" wall sculpture. Found bones and found gears, triflow Obsidian, and brass. About 10" across and 6" deep.

The gears I found out here in the yard, poking up through the dirt:

The Obsidian 'spearhead' part. This is a knife blade I did awhile ago, and modified today, plus the Brass mounting collar:

Basically assembled, on the bench:

Finished, and mounted to the wall outside my shop:

Mounted, another view:

Says WHAT on the gear?

Thanks, Glen. It was fun, a goof-off project, made mostly with stuff I found around here.

Kinda of neat to see other objects other than metal ones used.

What you have to do is to think that each leg, foot, ear or whatever is a separate sculpture and all together make the finish piece.
