What you have to do is to think that each leg, foot, ear or whatever is a separate sculpture and all together make the finish piece.

Thanks guys! Unfortunately Kona is years gone now. We have to lovable meat-head Pit bull's, George and Finnegan, and Taco the Chihuahua. Take a guess who "big" dog is! Ha Ha!
Been doing the kelp for years now. One of my favourites and the galleries sell lots of them, so good all around!!
