First and second try at silver work !

Hey, Thought I would share my first goes at anything 'crafty' Im pleased with the outcome, gonna have a go at patternwelding some stainless steels in a couple of weeks for jewellery.

These pieces are 15n20, 20c & pure nickel. (the bottom one has pattinated after a fair bit of wear from my other half, I think it looks nice darker, but the nickel has to go for jewellery, good old EU !)

I made the liners from 925 sterling sheet & silver soldered them into a ring with a cr&ppy benzomatic blow torch, with laundry borax for flux [hysterical]

Its my first try at soldering and the joints held together for the swaging [Big Grin]

Looks great. I used to do some stainless steel jewellery (mainly rings) combined with copper/ brass/ gold. Keep updating.
