Hello Guys!
my new fly-press is in my workshop[Big Grin]
Screw is a little more 3" .....
it's not cast iron but heavy welded steel .......
now, pictures ....

Looks good, It sure looks like it will do the job. But man with the weights on the end of the arm make sure you put some kind of noise maker/rattle on the opposite weight so you can hear it coming. Wacking your head on them sure will get your attention [Beer]

Can't wait to see what you turn out with it!

Nice looking addition to the shop.

It was a french tool maker "aux forges de la seine, Paris"
44 inches hight * 44 long.......

Nobody has mentioned used fly presses. Jake James up in Vancouver Island brought a whole container load over from England a while back. Marvelous machines. I bought a #3 from him.
