me too some times.
i have to crop them with the program i use on my computer, in my case, adobe photoshop {came with the computer} then it has to be less then 1000 KB total, i think.

Try Irfan View http://www.irfanview.com/ This is a good small windows program that just does it's job well. I am not connected in any way to these folks, but I do use their program and like it a lot. And, it is easy to use.
