Last weekend's Art on Fire event was pretty darned successful with about 350 attendees, competing with the Airs how and Scottish games we done good.

The first pic is my demo set up but Deb was busy spinning and didn't take any pics of me with a fire lit. [Shock] Then they were pouring iron and that was that.

The gal with the flame job leathers was nothing but excited grins all day she loves fire and molten metal. A LOT. I didn't get a pic of the back of her leathers, it's very flamey W/good motto my memory is too faulty to try repeating.

The last one is one of my favorites. Like the TV show says, Tougher in Alaska! [Welcome]

Looks like a great time!

If we tried to do that this time of year in FL, we'd be molten in addition to the iron [HAHA]

That last photo is a classic [smith][Welcome][Shock]

Here's a Blog with a little more info on the Iron Trail to the Arctic.

These are the iron casters who were the main show at the Art on Fire event. There's talk of doing this annually and maybe having a pour at the state fair. If Pat agrees to do the fair I'll get another chance to participate. Hopefully my arm will be healed enough I won't be operating under a 10lb. restriction so I can do more than get in the way.

Hi warren and [Beer] to MAF!

I know there was an iron casting event somewhere around here (Sanford?) a while back. I will post if I see it happening again.

We have had one metal mash meetup in Florida, about time for another one! Maybe this fall when it cools off a bit.
