Hi all, i'm still researching ways of ageing (verdigris) my copper sculpture, i've read pieces all over and apart from chemicals that don't seem to be as readily available over here as they do elsewhere, and urnine a favoured method seems to be Miracle Gro!

I've also read that this is quite a fragile finish even if waxed, has anyone had experience of this?

I only have 4 days left to finish it so I need to do something quite rapidly!

Many thanks in advance :-)
A lot of the verdigris finishes these days are actually a painted finish using sponging techniques and various shades of green and black

I have had some success on small items of copper using white vinegar as a pickle with a specific oil contaminent in, rinsed off, and verdigris appeared, however I am not certain how or why this occured or even if it is constantly repeatable.

If you only have four days, then it is going to be a struggle unless you go the paint way, there may be a specialist painter somewhere near you who may be able to help.

Good luck with it whatever you decide to do.
