Sorry for this horrible picture. The low light has messed up the color and the details are poor...
This is a Dragon I carved (sandblasted) from and old table top (about 24") The image is carved from the back and painted with yellow and black oil paints. The details in the dragon that were not carved are green foil. The rest of the piece is red foil.
You cant see the depth but the face is almost carved all the way through the glass and the body fades back for a 3D effect.

[Beer]Pretty slick work, the picture isn't that bad as you can see everything clearly.The 3d is always hard to show in print or video with the glass as the depths of cuts aren't deep for contrast. If you haven't taken the classes or seen Norm and Ruth Dobbins videos on glass blasting All 4 volumes are great. You can rent the video(DVD's) from
